SUSTAINABILITY
Our operations are guided by RESPONSIBILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY
We want to offer our customers a joyful, long-lasting and responsible alternative to clothing.
Papu clothing design is based on Finnish clear-lined and versatile design combined with hand-painted impressive patterns and colors. We select environmentally friendly and high-quality materials for our products so you can enjoy Papu clothes for a long time with a clear conscience. Quality is of paramount importance to us, and it is visible and felt in every garment we make. Papu clothes are designed in Finland with love and manufactured in carefully selected factories across Europe.

FINNISH DESIGN
At Papu, we invest in design because we believe that well-designed products stand the test of time and use. We want to create long-lasting, high-quality products that not only look great but also feel good to wear. Many of our products are versatile and suit many different body types. In our design process, we strive to create products that inspire and bring joy to their users for a long time.
All Papu products are designed in Finland, where our designers and artists let their creativity flow freely. Our patterns often emerge in the traditional way, painted with brushes on paper. This gives each of our products a unique and distinctive appearance.

EUROPEAN PRODUCTION
For us, transparency and ethics in production are matters of the heart, which is why we manufacture all our products close by, in Europe.
European production ensures that we can carefully monitor every step and ensure that our products meet our high quality standards. European standards also guarantee safe working conditions for workers and living wages. Locally produced also means shorter transportation distances and a smaller carbon footprint – this way we take responsibility for our environment and our future.
We select the best materials and work closely with our partners to ensure that every product is high quality and durable.

HIGH-QUALITY MATERIALS
Our goal is to continuously advance sustainability by finding ever higher quality and more durable materials. Most of the materials we use are responsibly produced alternatives that we carefully select to ensure functionality and quality.
We use materials in our products including GOTS certified organic cotton, recycled cotton, linen, lyocell, ecover and high-quality wools such as mulesing-free merino wool and cashmere.
By choosing environmentally friendly and high-quality materials, we ensure that every garment not only meets our highest quality standards but also supports sustainable development.

RESPONSIBLE JEWELRY COLLECTION
Unique Papu jewelry is the first jewelry in the world made from Sulapac's environmentally friendly bio-material.
The material is biodegradable, meaning soil microbes can break it down in nature and it does not leave microplastics behind. The metal parts of the jewelry are partially recycled silver, sourced from Poland and other parts of Europe.
The jewelry is assembled by hand in Finland and its sterling silver jewelry parts are manufactured in Poland. Local production supports the local economy, creates jobs in Finland and reduces the need for transportation and thus emissions to the climate.
