SIZE GUIDE

Unsure between two sizes?
We hope our size guide will help you choose the right size, and with these tips you'll find perfectly fitting clothes from our online store. Choosing the right size is especially important when shopping online to avoid unnecessary product exchanges and returns. To make your selection easier when ordering a new product, we've compiled helpful tips and instructions on this page to find the perfect size.

Check product-specific
Size Charts
Papu's online store has size charts for all products, where you can view the measurements of the products. The easiest way to compare sizes is by comparing the measurements from the size chart to your own, similar garment from your wardrobe.
Try to choose a garment as similar as possible from your wardrobe to the one you're trying to determine the size for.
From all measurement tables you will find size-specific measurements for different parts of the product marked with letters in the images. Note: Measurement tables are approximate, and products may actually have a 1-2cm variation from the given measurements.

Consider when choosing size
FABRIC MATERIAL
Our products containing elastane are stretchy. If you're unsure between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size for a snugger and better fit.
On the other hand, products made from 100% cotton, ecover, or lyocell do not stretch. This is important to consider when choosing your size, as these materials don't stretch during wear. For non-stretchy garments, pay special attention to the size charts and choose a size that provides adequate room for movement.
So always remember to check the product's material and think about how you want the garment to fit — snugly or loosely — so you can find the best possible size and fit for yourself!

Consider possible
Shrinkage allowance
When choosing the right size, it's important to consider possible shrinkage, as certain materials may shrink in the first wash. Products made from cotton, cotton-elastane blend, linen, lyocell, and ecover may shrink approximately 5% during the first wash.
Shrinkage allowance should be considered especially for tight-fitting and non-stretchy garments, so they don't become too small or uncomfortable after washing.
Remember to follow the care instructions and, when possible, wash the garment gently to keep shrinkage to a minimum.

How to compare sizes between different countries
International Clothing Sizes
Each country has its own size classifications, and sizes can vary significantly between different brands and regions. This can cause confusion and uncertainty when choosing the right size.
Here you'll find a clear table to help you compare clothing sizes. The table contains the most common size classifications. Whether you're buying a new dress, shirt, or pants, this guide will be helpful when you want to make sure the size you choose is right for you!
