Papu's spring/summer 2024 collection is called GLOW, inviting everyone to seek their inner beauty, their inner radiance - that unique glow that resides within each of us. How does joy, happiness, and peace radiate within you and from you? How do you showcase your own strength and beauty? Glow is radiation, gleam, passion – let it shine from us into this world. This spring, glow reveals itself as indulgence in life, freedom, delicious colors, encounters, happiness, and the spring glow in the sun.
Papu's new GLOW pattern, designed by Hanna-Riikka Heikkilä, is powerful, delicate, and radiant all at once. The pattern reflects the most beautiful shades of spring: coral, pale pink, sky blue, and fresh spring green. The shades are sparsely placed on the surface, creating an overall sophisticated look. The pattern is painted with acrylic paints and features a hint of fresh air brought by spray paint, casual brushstrokes, and translucent watercolor-like surfaces – promising the first radiant and luminous moments of spring.
PAPU X MUUMI – Shine
Papu's collaboration with Moomin Characters continues, and alongside the spring collection, Papu introduces the unique Shine collection, featuring high-quality products for women. The collection showcases a pattern painted with watercolors, adapted from the illustrations of Tove Jansson's book "Comet in Moominland." The illustration of Moomintroll and the Comet raises very relevant and important themes: openness to strangers, facing climate change, and the significance of family and loved ones.
Tove Jansson's delicate brushstroke and nuanced use of color are beautifully emphasized in the pattern. Papu has always admired not only Tove Jansson's distinctive illustrations but also her stories, which carry a strong underlying value base. Courage, equality, and pioneering spirit are conveyed through Tove Jansson's works. Through the Moomins, Jansson highlights the importance of forging one's own path and tolerance, and it's easy to stand behind this message even today.
The materials for the collection's products are organic cotton-elastane fabric and high-quality organic cotton-elastane blend college knit. The collection's products can be easily combined with both Papu Essentials products and the spring collection's solid-colored products.
Refined Elegance: Papu's New Jacket and Trench Designs
Papu's SS24 collection is complemented by brand new jacket and trenchcoat models, available in classic black as well as the Woods pattern. In Hanna-Riikka Heikkilä's graphic Woods pattern, painted with a brush, tree trunks recur sparsely on the fabric's surface, accentuating the tranquility and silence of the forest. The well-fitting jacket for women is dignified yet comfortably flexible. The classic trench coat for women features many striking details and is made from organic cotton elastane.
Papu's well-known Ponte Jerseys and knitwear come in fresh blue tones. The Wool jacket wool coat comes in a delicious Flowy Pink shade. Linen also comes in lovely pink and black colors.
