The Finnish women’s and children’s wear brand Papu Design opens in Finland’s first outlet center.
The Finnish womens and kids wear brand Papu Design opens a brand store in Zsar Outlet Village in the South-Eastern Finland by the Finnish-Russian border. The store, opening on February 18th, is the brand’s first outside Helsinki.
Papu, founded in 2012, is known for its sustainable clothing and accessories. The products are designed in Finland and manufactured in the EU. The majority of the brand’s collection is made of organic cotton, merino wool, linen, and recycled fiber. Papu’s collection includes, among others, dresses, pants, knittings, hoodies, shirts, leggings, and accessories, some of which already considered iconic among Finnish customers. Papu is known for its unique hand drawn designs, and wild but harmonic colour combinations.
”The new store outside Helsinki is an exciting step for us. Papu has always tried to distinguish from others with a unique product selection and responsibility. Zsar Outlet Village, on the other hand, stands out as a true shopping destination. Like Papu, Zsar enjoys an extremely loyal customer base, and customers are willing to travel from distances for high quality brands, attractive price range and excellent service. We also strongly believe that Papu’s sustainable products appeal to Zsar’s Russian and other international customers when tourism eventually returns back to normal”, comments Anu Vauhkonen, CEO of Papu.
Zsar Outlet Village is a premium outlet center in Vaalimaa, South-Eastern Finland, immediately adjacent to the major Finnish-Russian border crossing point. Opened in 2018, Zsar is the first outlet center in Finland. Zsar’s brands include e.g. adidas, Björn Borg, BOSS, Guess, Lindt, Skechers, Osprey London, and many more. All the products are sold with 30-70% discounts from the full price.
