General information

The products are sold by Papu Design. We sell products to private individuals of legal age in Finland and worldwide. All prices include VAT for countries & areas where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices and shipping costs. Papu Design is not responsible for possible customs expenses or other fees that may occur. 

 

 

 

Ordering

The products are ordered primarily from www.papudesign.com via the shopping cart.

All orders are confirmed by email and include the total price of the order, shipping costs and products ordered. To receive an order confirmation, a correct email address should be provided when ordering.

The customer agrees to the terms and conditions when placing an order.

Order confirmation

For all orders placed at papudesign.com Papu Design will send an order confirmation email which provides:

  • the reference number/ order number
  • the contact information you have provided
  • ordered products and quantities
  • the payment method of your choice

Papu Design reserves the right to cancel an order placed by the Customer if a significant mistake is made in the pricing of the product. A mistake like this would be a significant difference to the normal price or the market price of the product, and an average customer could understand that there is a mistake in the price. An example of this would be for example if the price of an item is 0,00 EUR.

 

Payment methods

The products/services and applicable shipping fees will be paid when placing the order. The following payment methods are accepted: Finnish online banks (Nordea, Osuuspankki, Danske Bank, Aktia, POP Bank, Säästöpankit, OmaSäästöpankki, Handelsbanken, S-Pankki, Ålandsbanken), credit/debit cards and Collector invoice/installment. Payments are handled by Paytrail Oyj. It's also possible to pay by bank transfer. We also provide options to pay with Klarna Bank AB and PayPal.

Payment service provider

Paytrail Plc acts as a collecting payment service provider and is an authorized Payment Institution. Paytrail Plc will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Plc will forward the payment to the merchant. For reclamations, please contact the website the payment was made to.

Bank transfer

The bank transfer option is also provided by Paytrail Plc (Business ID: 2122839-7) in collaboration with Finnish banks and credit institutions. For the consumer, this process works in the same way as traditional online payments.

Klarna Bank AB (publ)

In cooperation with Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden, we offer you the following payment methods. Payment is to be made to Klarna.

  • Pay in [14] days: The payment period is 14 days from shipment of the goods or tickets/ availability date of the service. You can find the complete terms and conditions for the markets where this payment method is available here: GermanyFinlandAustria, and the Netherlands.
  • Financing: With the financing service from Klarna you can pay your purchase in flexible or fixed monthly instalments according to the conditions stated in the checkout. The instalment payment is due at the end of each month after submission of a separate monthly invoice by Klarna. Further information regarding Slice It including terms and conditions and Standard European Consumer Credit Information you can find here for the markets where this payment method is available: AustriaGermany, and Finland.
  • Direct bank transfer: Available in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands. Your account will be debited directly after placement of your order.
  • Direct Debit: Your account will be debited after shipment of the goods or tickets/ availability date of the service or in case of a subscription in accordance with the timelines communicated. You will be notified about the date(s) by email.
  • Card Payments: Available in Germany and Austria. The amount will be reserved on your card and will be debited after shipment of the goods or tickets/ availability date of the service. In case of a subscription the amount will be debited in accordance with the timelines communicated.

The payment methods Pay in [14] days, Slice It and direct debit are only available in case of a positive credit assessment. For this purpose, during the order process and handling of your purchase, we forward your data for an address and credit check to Klarna. We can only offer you the payment methods available based on the result of the credit check. General information about Klarna and the user terms per country can be found on klarna.com. Your personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and in accordance with the information in Klarnas privacy statement.

 

 

Shipping and delivery

Delivery time

4-5 business days in Finland, 4-7 business days worldwide, when products are in stock. Shipping delays due to the carrier, weekends and holidays may affect delivery time.

The home delivery option in Finland delivers the package directly to your home during the next working day after the order is dispatched from our warehouse. If it cannot be delivered (if no one is there to receive the package) the package will be delivered to the nearest pick up point. Remember to always fill in your phone number correctly to receive shipping updates!

 

Shipping costs

Shipping costs include the cost of shipping & packaging. The shipping costs depend on the order value and the delivery method chosen.

Shipment tracking

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking code for your package. You can check the shipping status of your package.

 

Return and exchange policy

Return and exchange policy in Finland:

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act of Finland, you have the right to return an item within 14 days of receiving your order. The return right applies only to items that are in new, unused condition and in their original packaging. In Finland please use POSTI return services (ID 655374) for returns and exchanges. The return fee in Finland is 4,90€ which is always deducted from the refund. If the complete original order is returned, the original shipping cost is refunded, but the return fee 4,90€ is deducted. Exchanging to another product of the same value is free of charge.

Before the return shipment send a return notification to customerservice@papudesign.com by email. Please fill in and include the return form to your package.

The return shipment is free when using POSTI services, and the customer return id is 655374. Keep the receipt of the return shipment until the refund is completed.

We will not accept returns after 14 business days. When the return is received and accepted, a refund will be made to the original payment method. The time for processing a return may take up to 10-15 working days.

If all products from the original order are returned, the original shipping fee will also be returned. If the return does not include all products of the original order, the shipping fee will not be returned. The return fee of 4,90€ is deducted from all returns regardless if the entire order is returned, or individual items of the order.

It is the customers obligation to make sure to pick up the package on time so that it is not returned to us. If a parcel is not picked up from the pick-up point the parcel will be returned to us and a refund of the order will be made and a fee of 10,00€ is deducted from the refund amount. Returned parcels will not be re-shipped.

In case the return shipment is lost during transportation, keep the receipt of the return shipment until you have received the refund. If a parcel is lost during transportation, and the customer cannot deliver proof of the shipment Papu Design Oy is not obligated to make the refund of the items that have not been returned.

Notice! If you have purchased items with a discount where the price of an item is reduced (For example: buy 2 get 3) in case of a return the discount is cancelled and the original price of the item with a reduced price is applied and will affect the refunded amount. For example: If you would like to return 2/3 of the items from a buy 2 get 3 order, the original price of the free item is reduced from the refund.

Europe

If you want to return an item/items from your order, please send a notification of return to our Customer Service team (customerservice@papudesign.com). Include your name, order number (PAPU#XXXX) and phone number and which items you want to return in the return notification. You will receive the label for the return shipment and instructions in the package with your order. The cost of the return is 15 EUR which will be deducted from the refund. You will also receive the instructions for returns along with your order. 

Outside of Europe

If you want to return an item/items from your order, please send a notification of return to our Customer Service team (customerservice@papudesign.com). Include your name, order number (PAPU#XXXX) and phone number and which items you want to return in the return notification. Once we have received the notification, we will send you the shipping label and instructions by email. The cost of the return is 20 EUR which will be deducted from the refund. You will also receive the instructions for returns along with your order. 

  

Delivery problems and faulty products 

Should you not receive your package or if an item was damaged in transport or if the item ordered is faulty, contact us immediately by email customerservice@papudesign.com. If the package was damaged in transport, a claim must also be made with the shipping company.

Notifications of faulty items must be made within 14 business days of receiving your order. 

 

Other

We reserve the right to change our terms and conditions. Customers should familiarize themselves with the terms and conditions before placing an order. 

Papu Design Oy handles all customer information confidentially and does not disclose customer information to unnecessary third parties. If customer information is forwarded to a third party, it is according to the terms above, for example to the payment providers.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Finnish law.

 

Force Majeure:

Papu Design shall not be liable to the Customer for not fulfilling the Terms due to causes which are beyond the control of Papu Design, (such as war, acts of government, strikes, natural disasters or other causes of a similar nature) for the duration of such events. In these cases, the Customer shall not have a right for compensation from Papu Design for breach of contract.
